Reaching out for help when grieving is NOT a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength and courage ...a willingness to learn, heal and grow through this experience.
Grief Support GROUP (6 weeks - 2 hrs per week) Sessions are lead by at least one nurse with experience and knowledge about grief, and may be co-lead by a volunteer. NOTE: This is grief support, not therapy.
- Groups will be offered in various locations across Oxford county, based on number of requests, and are FREE of charge.
- A minimum of 4 people are needed to run a group, (maximum 7 people)
- Pre-registration is required
- Everyone is required to meet with the program coordinator prior to being accepted into a group.
- If the person and/or the coordinator feels the group setting will not be a good fit, information will be provided to assist in finding other support or grief therapy

Follow-Up Grief Support
- Follow-up support is offered on a 1:1 basis as part of the Hospice Volunteer Services when a volunteer has an established relationship with the family prior to the death.
