Volunteers provide companionship and share activities with lonely seniors and lonely adults with disabilities. A weekly or bi-monthly visit provides social interaction and improves quality of life. Visits may involve conversation, sharing an activity in the home, playing cards or board games, going out for coffee, a walk, or other outing. Referrals can be made through CCAC, family, friends, health professionals, or a person may refer themselves. A Volunteer Coordinator will explain the program in more detail and determine in what ways a volunteer could be of benefit.
